Fryderyk Paczkowski was born in Jelenia Gora, Poland, where he lived until the age of 11 when he immigrated to Canada with his parents, where he resides to this day.  Born into a family of gifted wood carvers, painters and photographers Fryderyk was encouraged to pursue the arts from a young age, drawing and photography became the most favoured modes of expression.  In the period of 2000 – 2010 the arts played a lesser role in Fryderyk’s life as he focused on pursuing engineering and business interests.  During that period a passive interest in documentary photography has evolved into several long term projects and has refined Fryderyk’s skill as a photographer and artist.

Currently Fryderyk is pursuing his interests in documentary and landscape photography.  Furthermore, through writing, photography and painting Fryderyk is exploring the human condition and delves into abstract subjects that deal with the contradictions and juxtapositions in daily life.
